The Sant Rampal Case

Born to a farmer family in Sonepat, Sant has a diploma in Engineering and claims to have been appointed as a J.E. in the Irrigation Department of the Haryana Government. After 2000, he had to go through a lot of legal wrangling for having made derogatory remarks against Swami Dayanand Saraswati and the Arya Samaj. Report says that on July 12, 2006, this god-man's followers and Arya Samajis engaged in a clash, where a young man got killed. Rampal and some of his followers were jailed. Currently on bail, this man faces charges of conspiracy in connection with the 2006 incident.

On November 10th, the Punjab and Haryana High Court issued a fresh non-bailable warrant (NBW) against him and cancelled his bail. Rampal failed to turn up on the given dates, and on Monday the HC issued a fresh NBW against him for 21st November for failing to turn up in an earlier contempt case.

In a race against the deadline, police and CRPF jawans tried to storm into the Ashram in Hissar and were met with stiff resistance from the devotees, with mostly children and women forming a human barricade. More than 200 people have been injured and 4 bodies have been recovered.

4. Arvind Kejriwal wooed the capital's youth by promising 80,00,00 jobs along with doubling the existing number of seats in colleges. He talked of filling up the 50,000 vacancies of doctors, teachers, nurses and other professionals.

5. With respect to the promotion of sports, he said that the government will not only create and upgrade the sports infrastructure but also adopt the best  talents and promote them. He said that the government was ready to develop sports centres in far flung villages of Delhi, only if the villagers offer their land. He also mentioned that no bureaucrat or politician will be in any governing sports body, and that only experts will head those committees.

6. On the rising problem of drug addiction, he promised that Delhi won't become a second Punjab. He also talked about providing mobile governance and that people can talk about the problems and check out the government policies from their smartphones.

The 10 Day International Tour of the Prime Minister of India

The 10^th of November, 2014, saw Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarking upon his 10-day three-nation tour.
